Also, huge props to Lomachenko for not complaining when HBO basically put it on a plate for him in the post fight interview. That shows class that most fighters lack.

Told you guys; too much too soon. Ring Magazine had a bit a few years ago about an Olympic Gold winner back in the day who challenged for the title in his first fight and got ****ing massacred, and when this fight was made I couldn't help but think back to it.

Salido won more rounds, Lomochenko did too little too late.

But technically Sacheato should have been DQ'd for all those low blows.
...and officially you get away with what you can, which also includes Loma holding against the rules.

If Salido had been warned numerous times or at all, he would have stopped, thus the DQ doesn't come into it.

I thought it was close. Real close.

Salido had better work to the body, and Loma had better work upstairs. Salido was busier, but Loma was much more efficient and landed just as much despite not being nearly as busy.

I thought the difference was, Loma nearly had Salido out in the 12th. And not to mention all of those low blows and the ridiculous ref job from Cole.

It wasn't an outright robbery but I thought Loma won. Draw at worst.

How the ƒuck do you become a "diehard" delirious fan of someone off of one fight and a bunch of hype? What the hell is wrong with some of you. Let the man earn his ƒucking spot and stop trying to force gold leather and velcro up his anus. He will get to the #1 spot one day and when he does he will deserve it. However he did not and does not deserve it right now. Almost 400 amateur wins and one loss... OoooooOOoOooooOo big deal! They are called the amateurs for a reason and that reason showed last night. Almost 400 fights with one avenged loss still could not prepare him for ONE night in the professional ranks against a seasoned professional. Welcome to the big leagues Lomo. I will be watching your growth in excitement to see if you capture greatness or upset more delirious fans like this thread's poster. Glad to see he took it maturely like a man and made zero excuses. He will bounce back strong from this as it was a priceless learning experience and he has loads of talent.
