The punch stats show that loma won by a round. Draw would have been faitr as well.
I agree. He needs to slow down. Learn the pro trade, because nothing in his two fights so far suggest he was the best amatuer of all time. With time he can be that guy.

Punch stats are hard to judge by, but from what I saw, people are judging on the mere fact that Salido threw a body shot, rather then landed it clean or legally. Lomanchenko whenever he threw landed clean on Salido's head.

115-113 Loma. He really needed that KD in the last rd. The first time Cole broke up the fight was in the 12th, and it slowed Loma down. That dude should never ref again.

He should never have rushed into this and I have no doubts if he slows down and fights some B level to work on his experience.

However I scored it to him and no way should he have lost the fight. A draw or lOMA win was my score card.
your logic is strange; You believe he won the fight but he should fight "B" level competition?

yes because if he had more experience it wouldn't even been close. He would have beaten the Mexican by 8 rounds if he fought at least 5/6 times before this match.

He needs to work on things and he can still be a all time great. Some adjustments need to be made.

Take it easy, guys. Thread starter trolls over white fighters.

Salido won more rounds, Lomochenko did too little too late.

But technically Sacheato should have been DQ'd for all those low blows.

I think he has trouble with everyone in the top 20 at featherweight based on what I saw yesterday, the hype will make it hard to avoid arums temptation to put him in with name fighters.

I scored it a draw and I didn't really think either of them did enough to win it. If Lomachenko had simply thrown more between rounds 2-8 he would've won but he just kept holding whenever Salido pressured him.

Also, Lomachenko was in much better shape at the end of the fight which was funny considering going the distance was probably weighing on his mind early on and was the reason he didn't let his hands go more.

There's no shame in dropping a close decision to a veteran in your second pro fight but last night confirmed for me what I already suspected heavily, that Lomachenko would probably be dominated by Rigo.
