If he was all they had been saying he would have won easily but he got old-manned by a fairly average fighter.

I still think he has a future in the sport and can be a world champion one day but people were saying he was a future ATG and that he would already beat prime Morales etc, it was just ridiculous

Lomachenko hung in gamely for 12 rounds with Orlando Salido in his second fight, and had him hanging on at the end. Once they teach this kid how to fight like a pro, rather than a talented amateur, he'll be pretty good.

I just want to know how the guy we saw last night went 396-1 in the amateurs. I wasn't impressed with his form, accuracy, output, defense, or ring intelligence. His toughness has to be commended, as does his stamina, but I just can't see this guy ever ruling a division. I'm sure he will get a world title though, so he's far from a hype job.

He was being touted as surpassing SRR, being on par with Rigondeaux, and was the favorite to beat Salido in only 2 pro fights. Overhyped is an understatement.

i agree, someone was calling him the future goat already here. how come yall think he so great when he CANT hang with a shot salido, its clear his chin is also questionable

His low punch output's what concerns me. Technically, he seems sound but the lack of activity will lose him a lot of rounds against guys with far great skill and offensive range than Salido.

About his fans though.. Just see who else they've rooted for. There's a reason why he gets hyped.. Those fans of his just seem to go kind of overboard with anyone they're rooting for at the time.
