Redeems himself? Credit to Chavez, but lets call a spade a spade. Vera was never a pick-em fight, Chavez was always meant to beat the tough as nails Vera. And Lampley called it at the beginning of the fight; Vera is a 154, 160 fighter not a 173, 168 fighter. Vera is always a feel good story when he wins, but be honest he's a FNF fighter. Vera was the guy Chavez was supposed to beat convincingly to stay in the big picture at 160 but apparently Chavez can't make do it unless its at 168. And what's up with the 12th round? Chavez could have stomped the 12, maybe even forced a ref stoppage but he decided to clown around. This wasn't a redemption, this was a salvage of Chavez's career.

Chavez has ZERO defense. It would be a brutal beat down. More than happy to bet 1 grand on GGG.

Man you're f'n blind. Chavez was making Vera miss a lot especially early in the fight. It's not like GGG has the best D in the world, like I said he showed a lot of flaws in his last fight. and Chavez is much bigger than GGG. Not saying he will win but let's not act like GGG will walk right through Jr because no one has ever done that.

You ppl will always see negativity when you want - he hasn't changed massively but that's the style that's won him all those fights.

I don't think you understand how boxer's use their energy and the strategies involved. Chavez' combos are actually pretty quick.

                Anyways..

VERA IS A LOW CLUB FIGHTER!!! You are blind as a Bat!! But don't think for a second Chavez is going to make 160. Put money up if they fight.

I didn't say Vera wasn't but what I do know is that JR overall resume is better than GGG's

entertaining fight, to compensate for the terrible fight between loma and salido. the only change in chavez jr was the weight, if he really goes after GGG next, he is getting KOd big time
