Yeah I would say so.

It's not because Khan is necessarily a better fighter, or at least wouldn't win between the two.

But Khan was a proven commodity at world level and a double world champion (or should be) when Garcia fought him. He also had a very good resume.

None of those things can really be said for Matthysse.

Yea I can't say I was exactly correct, but I am not disappointed in what I said about that fight at all. I remember that post now, I was thinking of a different one I made and in that thread I know very few even gave Garcia a chance.

Most thought Garcia was going to get wrecked on, where I slipped up was I though Garcia was an alright boxer which would give Khan problems allowing Garcia to land, what I did not think was that Garcia had that much of a punch (I didn't think he was a Malinaggi but maybe a Bradley type puncher). Now it was Khan who was still shaky but it had been a while since he had been stopped and Garcia just did't seem like that guy to break that streak.

I still don't think Garcia is that big a puncher, but his countering is better than I thought which is how he hurt Khan so badly I reckon.
