Garcia at the time was very untested.. He was moved along nicely, gaining experience by fighting against aging vets like Campbell, holt, morales for a belt, and Garcia didn't exactly dominate and look great in these fights, he was winning but flying under the radar..

Khan was on a terror from 09-2011, and even the Peterson loss wasn't that bad, because of the bad ref, bad scorecards, plus the peds. But Danny wrecked khan and became a "name" in boxing

First of all Freddie Roach wasn't even there. Khan was literally brawling and trading big shots with his sparring partners.

I said I thought the left hook would take Khan out and that Garcia was very good at punching with his opponents. Never said he was "tailor made" for Garcia.

Khan overlooked Garcia, like everyone else, under estimated his power and fought reckless

Although he laid many shots on Garcia, and even hit him with a few big shots which made Danny back away for a second and Angel seemed very worried in the corner for 2 rounds

Then he landed that shot, right on the back of the neck and Khan never got his legs back, he had his senses, but his legs were out of control

That **** would have KO'd many boxers, Khan got back up to fight on and made some ****** mistakes to carry on fighting toe to toe, but in it he gave the best round of boxing that year, amazing round, more shots thrown in that round than an entire Floyd fight.

I still think had Garcia gave Khan the rematch, Amir would have beat him, with a few adjustments and playing it more safe. Shame Danny didnt give the rematch, but i dont blame him Khans fault for not having a rematch clause.

Someone mentioned on here that he was getting caught by the left hook in sparring

If i recall Roach wasnt helping with sparring, it was someone else, and dude kept landing the left hook, not sure who it was on this forum but made a big deal out of it and someone countered by saying Khan will not get hit by that punch in the fight, that he was just messing around.

Going into the fight I had seen the Garcia/Morals fight and while I didn't hate on Garcia, he didn't look like he was anything close to special in my eyes. I felt Khan would beat him pretty easily. If you thought different cong**** for being right, but I was shocked. To be completely honest that fight made me think much less of Khan than anything more for Garcia. It wasn't really until the Matthysse fight where I realized Garcia is truly where is his because he deserves it. He reminds me of Bradley. He's not exceptional at one thing, but he's good at everything and just has that something special.
