He wasn't a late replacement. Khan did 2 full training camps going back and forth from the Phillipines to LA to the UK etc.

Garcia was his best available opponent. Admittedly, I didn't know how good Garcia was or even that he punched that hard. I thought Khan would win although I was disturbed when I saw his final sparring sessions
