What if (and its a big if) promoters had to offer a pension plan to fighters before signing them into a contract. Im not saying promoters should pay fighters more money but just take a small percentage of the fighters purse and put it towards a pension plan.

Maybe Pernell should consider getting a job? Evicting your own mother, that's just sad..
Maybe he doesn't have his confidence back, I mean the last time he fought he quit against some bum on ESPN. Luckily for those of us who enjoyed his style in his prime, we have a lot of similar styles to appreciate in Vazquez, Molina, and Mikey Garcia.

The house was about to be foreclosed on. If he didn't evict here the IRS would have so it is what it is. Either way she wasn't going to be living in it anymore.
He has 7 brothers and sisters. Why weren't they helping with the taxes and expenses? He's not getting million dollar purses anymore. He took care of them for 30 years now its time for them to stand on their own.

Change just 3 things here and you know what it's like to own a time machine. Change Mother to Father, 2014 to 2022, and Whitaker to Mayweather.

Another thought: who's to say what this mother of his is like? She obviously wasn't moving a muscle, despite the fact that the house would soon be seized by the state. People read the heading or scan the article and make the knee-jerk reaction, "Look what he's doing to his moms!" But it's not that simple. From the limited information I'm seeing, it doesn't seem Pernell is necessarily wrong.

Its ashame this gets publicity even though it only made news on the local level really we don't know the true story here. I'm not saying that putting his mother out of a house is a good thing but we don't know their relationship. This is something their family needs to deal with and doesn't need to be broadcast. pernell is one of my all time favorite fighters i hope he and his family get everything sorted out.
