truth is he had no choice,he messed all his money off and no one was paying the taxes on the house..so either sell the house and collect equity or let the IRS take it and get nothing..either way his mom was getting evicted

why he let it get to that point, He messed up his money should have got a 9-5, property tax is not expensive at all.

What if (and its a big if) promoters had to offer a pension plan to fighters before signing them into a contract. Im not saying promoters should pay fighters more money but just take a small percentage of the fighters purse and put it towards a pension plan.

The WBC is in the middle of implementing a pension plan for retired ex-WBC champs but only if they meet the standards set by an 'independent' committee. As far as I know they've done a big fundraiser but so far I haven't heard of any cases where money has been doled out but I also haven't heard if the plan is even available yet.

Its ashame this gets publicity even though it only made news on the local level really we don't know the true story here. I'm not saying that putting his mother out of a house is a good thing but we don't know their relationship. This is something their family needs to deal with and doesn't need to be broadcast. pernell is one of my all time favorite fighters i hope he and his family get everything sorted out.
