I myself wanted this a while back but the emphasis is Floyd contention.

When Khan does win it'll be "brook is hype job beat someone first"

Khan doesn't fight in September anyway so he's not going to get Floyd until next May at the earliest

Unfortunately that's probably true of anybody he could fight right now besides maybe Shawn Porter. Alexander just lost, Broner just lost, Khan already schooled Malignaggi.

Shawn Porter isn't a $5 million fight, it gets Khan a world title and it could set him up for Mayweather but not substantially better than beating Kell Brook would.

Probably Khan's best option aside from Brook is a rematch with Danny Garcia because that's a fight where the winner would get enough exposure to make a Mayweather match more credible. But Garcia is signed to fight already and Khan doesn't seem like he's planning on waiting around for a fight.

Good point. Khan needs to rebuild his UK fan base. He's not as popular as people abroad think he is. That said it would be a good earner for both sides.

There's also the grudge angle, which is very marketable (see Groves/Froch).

It's not a fight that would interest globally, but then who cares if they are making some major money and fighting in front of thousands of UK fans in an arena or football stadium. A good fight is a good fight at the end of the day.

A name known is U.S with less money still better than Brook. I would love a Brook fight as it gives strength to the domestic scene, but im forecasting the inevitable like "oh Brook is a hype job" remarks. He can fight Guerrero and that'll mean more, but my dream fight at the moment is Porter he has a belt.

Undeniably, it would be a better fight if Brook had a title first.

I think Porter might be the way to go too, just so that Khan gets a title... but honestly to call Porter a "name" here in the US is a little generous. He won his title on a Malignaggi undercard against Devon Alexander who gets booed every time he fights out of St. Louis.

By "less money" we're talking about a fight where Khan would be lucky to get paid a million dollars. The title makes a difference but maybe not 4 million dollars difference. I guess we'll see but Brook's the one trying to make something happen right now, I'm not hearing anything from Porter.

Khan can fight Brook as a title defense so when he wins it'll be "oh a solid title defense", but right now its a useless fight.

Khan can bring Porter to U.K if he wants to re-build his fanbase.

I think Khan should take the money and fight Brook..... That will take a lot of the sting out of the Mayweather snub.... It's likely a much easier fight than Porter....
After Brook a rematch with Danny Garcia would get him both money and respect, particularly if you can win it and a title.... After which, Amir Khan would be a legitimate draw that might temp Mayweather and a Garcia trilogy would eventually take place....
But, that's a lot of what if's.... Amir, take the money, Porter can wait....
