I see alot of people talking about how relentless Cotto is going to be and eventually wear down Martinez.

Since when has Cotto been a swarmer with crazy stamina to wear guys down? I love Cotto, awesome fighter, awesome dude, never in a dull fight. I just really cannot see him winning this fight aside from the lucky punch or some other random anomaly.

He doesn't have the pop to keep Sergio off of him, not just because Martinez is the bigger man and used to facing off against far bigger men who hit harder, also Cotto hasn't exactly carried his power up with him. Cotto coming on the inside to work him? Martinez showed he can **** inside, against people with power when he fought JCC Jr. He wasn't just dancing around pot shotting. Martinez has very good handspeed too, to go along with his power, it's gonna be a tall order for Miguel.

Now I think Cotto should do alot more feinting and boxing, and try to time Martinez instead of swarming him with an all out attack. Cotto can box, he has pretty good movement himself, he should be sticking and moving for a while to get Sergio kind of tired so his focus slips, and try to out time him and throw at the same time. He also should be doing some rough stuff, ****ing his knee against his when they clinch, punch while clinched, lean on him so Martinez has to hold him up, any veteran Bhop style thing he can throw at Sergio because Cotto has about a 20-25 percent chance of winning this fight, and I am being generous.

Common box wisdom says big n' bad beats good n' small. With some few exceptions, that's generally how it goes because size matters. And its not as if Sergio is a bad boxer, so we have a very crafty and talented bigger boxer against a guy that cant really beat him on any level, other than hope that Sergio's injuries are worse than expected. No hate towards Cotto, just the facts.

Since when? How about since the first 29 fights of his career. People forget that before he lost to Margs, Cotto was the tough guy that walked through the shots and wore you down. Cotto did do much better against Margs than Sergio did. The funny thing is Cotto is well Slicker than Martinez. Don't believe me? Who hasn't hit sergio? Macklin won like the first 6, Barker was winning at the time of stoppage and Murray was ripped off. Martinez beat Paul Williams. Thats about it.

I just have one question, is Cotto going to get any credit if he beats Martinez or is everyone going to say it only happened because Martinez was not 100%?

Probably not. Even though everyone is saying he's going to get murdered.

It's a shame because this fight has FOTY written all over it and the winner should get all the praises coming to him from us the fans. Neither of these two men has ever been in a boring fight that I can remember.
