Cotto is not boxing Martinez from the outside that would actully playout in Martinez favor. Cotto needs to put those knees to the test early with one of his wrestleling moves lol. Seriously Cotto's chances are raised with the deteriation of Martinez movement via reinjured knee. Cotto must target the knees like he did Margarito's eye.

Anybody trying to put some points on this?
I dont think Chavez was not engaging.. he was trying.. Martinez fought a perfect fight for 11 rounds against him... he got over-confident and careless at the end... Chavez always starts slow so that was nothing new.. Martinez dominated him.

Martinez has much better stamina than Cotto, so Cotto is not overwhelming him with a fast pace. Martinez threw over 900 punches against Chavez. Martinez is more capable of sustaining a fast pace, especially in the late rounds, than is Cotto. If Cotto fades like he did against Austin Trout, he will be easy pickings for Martinez.

To all the professional boxing critics on this site

I hate comming on this site cause people actually comment like they know something about boxing. Martinez has never faught anybody creadible when he knocked out Paul williams he had his eyes closed it was a lucky shot.He almost got ko by a half ass boxer chavez 10 more sec that fight would have been over guy is overrated and will get exposed on June 7th.

Notice all the noise is coming fRom martinez side. Cotto team has been quite all along the negotiation and now. Martinez team is nervous and Should be. By round 5-6 cotto will start catching up to old ass martinez and start punishing him. They're making a mistake thinKing this is the same cotto who fOught Floyd and trout. A roach trained cotto is a different beast. Martinez Team should be ecstatic if Martinez even makes it to see a decision, either way cotto beats a 40yrs old Martinez

I do agree hes a tad bit overrated..... but how about the Pavlik win? He also got stopped by Margarito over 10 years ago.... I dont think Cotto can hurt him though... Cotto hasnt carried his power after moving up in weight throughout the years.

Exactly thats what I'm talking about, I won't be surprised if it accidentally happens when Cotto is trying to get in the inside being how Martinez is a few inches taller. I kidd you not.

First, cotto is pound for pound a harder puncher than both Chavez and pavlik. At the same weight class, I'm sure cotto hits harder. Second, Chavez caught Martinez with one good combo and we seen what it did to Martinez. If he had more time he would've finished Martinez. Third, he fought pavlik like 5 years ago. Martinez is now 40yrs old. Not the same fighter and Deft more the same chin. . Try again
