I think he got way too careless and Chavez took advantage.. it wasnt like Chavez didnt hit him in the first 11 rounds of their fight.. actually right at the end of round 11 if i remember correctly, Chavez hurt Martinez.. Martinez was also stopped by Margarito back when he was fighting at 147.
On Mayweather Jr. words : Martinez and Cotto are Margarito's leftovers.

You can argue they weren't that hurt. You can't say he didn't knock them down, as he plainly did.

True, one fight isn't enough to see if roach will make a difference, but I deft seen glimpses of old cotto In that fight. Martinez will try to hit him all night with lefts but I believe cotto will eventually find a way. Again, cotto is a world class fight with better fighting skills than any other fight Martinez had fought. Martinez has gotten worse and worse every fight. Dude was outboxed by Murray the first few rounds and was knocked down. Murray is no where near cottos level. Again, if the old cotto with the killer instinct is back, cotto will win. We'll see if that's the case June 7th. I live in Jersey and attend most local fights at MSG and Barclay, but this will be a lil too expensive. I only like to go with good seats. If I get a decent price I might go. . Who knows

                • I hope this doesn't mean he's actually gonna come into ring at 75%.

I mean, if you can’t walk because it hurts and you can't run because the pain is unbearable, then what would you do, cancel the biggest payday of your career or come in at 75% and hope you don't get bit by the Lion in his den?

Sergio at 75% would still hurt Cotto. I love Cotto, but he's biting off more than he can chew by going up to MW.

                      Got balls doe.
