However you can still be successful if you do what Golden Boy did the past few years and simply buy already developed guys to come fight under your banner.

The problem I feel Mayweather is going to have is in getting the young Hispanic guys to come fight under his banner rather than say Golden Boy.
I for example would have a hard time seeing a top draw like Canelo signing with TMT instead of GB.
I agree. GBP is great at making stars but not at developing a fighter IMO. TR is still the best at that. You see how they ****ed up putting Mares in with Jhonny Gonzales.

I think if he stays as a promoter he should concentrate on the urban market. I agree he will have a hard time attracting certain fighters-but I think he is te right person, along with Haymon, to try and resurrect the african american markets for fighters.

IMO ideally floyd should become a GBP partner and its head trainer when he retires.

HBO cut ties with GB not the other way around. When floyd signed with showtime, thats what triggered the severence. May never had a contract with HBO. Everything was done on a fight by fight basis. Floyd-Pac wont happen because Floyd has made his stance clear. Hes not working with arum. Plus if the fight did go down, thats money split between three promotional companies. Floyd is not having that.

I simply posted an article that answered the TS question and your post. If the only way you can deal with being upset about someone blaming manny for the cold war is to react like this, so be it.

Why does it bother you so much?

So GBP is going to be running a good cop/bad cops publicity strategy on this rivalry. Probably a good move, I don't see it amounting to much but they will get some good spin.

Oscar has been pretty much jettisoned from his own company. Haymon, Schaeffer and Mayweather run it now.
