AHHH I don't know. I loved that era.

I get you and the thing is man and the sad thing is, I have done the same... I have changed into the new type of society. I say a few hellos here and there and get into my apartment to kill time indoors.

I will try to make it a point to do the same.
How about playing smear the ***** with all the neighbor kids? Riding bikes, building dirt jumps, playing Super Smash Bros. in the garage with all the kids on the block, going body.

    It was a simpler time.

Though, I also have fond memories of the internet age. I remember in 2004 walking to the internet cafe by my old house called "PC Games" with my friends. We played Counter-Strike. LAN parties were a blast.

I agree with you. The internet used to be the cherry on top of most interests, but now it is a dominant part of most things which I find overpowering. I'm hoping that things like twitter and instagram will simmer down by the close of the decade.

Anyway, I don't know. When I was about 4 years old I didn't pay attention to the names of fighters, Mike Tyson being the exception.

You don't realise how much you miss certain things until you bump into it years later. Regarding gaming, I found Dreamcast magazines from 99-01 maybe which gave me a case of nostalgia. Now, there are less items reminding me of a particular era.

Trinidad vs de la Hoya. Was a youngster, my cousins were playing in the yard and I was the only kid with the fam watching. That's when I feel in love lol

Yes, it was just a complement back then. Now our lives REVOLVE around it. People go to places and focus more on getting selfies and photos for FB/Twitter than just basking in the moment and experiencing it.

I can remember the Mosley-Forrest fights, but the first one I really watched was Trinidad-Mayorga.

LOL!! Oh man I remember that. I used to play a lot of Mario Party too with my cousins. I remember Christmas days too getting together with family and friends. The whole day you would be riding the bike or the roller skates... they'd take me to the park to enjoy it there.

Aww hell yeah man. Early 2000s had their charm. It was like the 90s but with advances but it was in 2007 or so when it just completely changed. I tried to play some games with Dial Up lol.. fail. I actually got what we knew as DSL at the time since I didn't know much about it around 2006 or so. My dad would pick up the phone and it was game over. That annoying dial up sound.. Counter strike..... damn I remember when it used to be THE FPS.

Damn now remembering... I used to print out the **** lol. Dial up wouldn't be enough to download videos from Kazaa so I downloaded photos, printed them and would have crazy ventures with those papers in one hand.

I wonder how many kids watched Maidana as their first fight.

I started closely following the sport when Mayweather fought Ortiz. I remember Twitter blew up that night because of the way the fight ended and the post fight interview.

I didn't know who the **** this Victor Ortiz guy was. That was the first fight I saw him live. So I went to boxrec and saw that he had a TKO loss against this guy named Marcos Maidana.

I watched Ortiz-Maidana and remember thinking, "This Maidana cat looks like a baby."

                    Been a fan ever since.
