best thing about other sports is

you cant choose who to battle in the championships

heat(mayweather) have to face thunder (pac), mavs (lara), spurs (ggg)
no matter whose injured or not playing (upper weight classes)

the heat (mayweather) cant choose to battle bobcats (guerrero), bucks (ortiz), pelicans (maidana/khan) in the championship. unless heat (mayweather) would not be champions

hope it makes sense, but if it doesnt make sense to you just ignore it

Not because Burley was truly a formidable fighter but because Burley was not a draw and Robinson was straight out about the money factor. It was a fight that the public was not hip to, it didn't call out 'mega fight' to the public so it was passed on. Think about it, why would Robinson have to duck anybody?. He'd of fought King Kong , in a bout governed by the rules of Queensbury, if you offered him enough money ................. Rockin'
Robinson clearly stated he wasn't interested in the bout. Even after that, he tried to go after the weakest titlist in Joey Maxim, dropped back down after he failed and didn't even attempt to go near the likes of Charles, Williams, Booker, Moore, etc.

Robinson missed some guys, just like everyone else did besides Ali probably.
