He knows and speaks it pretty well, fluently. It's Danny that doesn't speak it so fluently. And even Danny can get by speaking it, but he has to think about what he wants to say, slow.
Seriously though.. Angel has okay spanish and aside from having a basic vocab (having to finish in english) you can tell he's puerto rican but not from puerto rico judging strictly from his speech. Like I said, Angel himself is borderline Danny can rep the roots but make no mistake... If he fights Cotto or some other rican... Lol.

Both have blood lines from a country? Correct?
Both cant speak their country of orgins languange? Correct?
but one is Puerto Rican-American and the other is not African-American?
lol,
My son wasn't born in America but in school the other kids refer to him as a "Amee"....german slang for American....in Philly nobody ever referred to him as German....why should they?!?...neither of his parents is German....we don't celebrate July 4th and a few other American holidays because it's our choice....doesn't mean my son is less American than those who choose to celebrate it
Lennox Lewis is Jamaican not Canadian or British....Klitschkos are Ukrainian not German.....Swift is Rican.....and if you ever been to Philly you would know we have a slang term called "the Rican area"....the Rican hoods in Philly are different from other areas.....the music and everything is different....so to say Ricans who are born and raised outside PR don't live the culture is wrong

I never accused danny of not living the culture I gave him a .02% of embracing it, nothing he does is tradition puerto rican culture! period no way around it. But a new culture developed in United States is just a tradition and is a US culture not a Puerto Rican Culture. Is their a collective group of people in PR that practice what you guys practice?
are their Cholos In Mexico LMFAO?
Cholos are disrespected hard in Mexico but that cholo life was made up in US and most think of it as Mexican but its not. Thats not mexican culture lol. Chicanos LMFAO! GTFOHLast edited by CANELOLUJAH; 02-26-2014, 03:01 AM.

This is something that the PR fans themselves will decide - but I suspect he won't get the love a Puerto Rican national would.
It's just not the same...like in the Olympics say....I might favour an American or Australian of Greek origin, but they'd never get the same support from me as an Hellenic national or UK competitor

Danny Garcia is about as Puerto Rican as Andre Ward is Irish...
Mikey Garcia doesn't count as Mexican either...
