fair points....good postCotto-Martinez is infinitely more interesting than Maidana-Mayweather because there is vulnerability involved. Martinez's superior boxing ability is balanced by his age, the catch weight and Cotto's own skills.
Pac-Bradley is a competitive fight between two top welterweights who both have speed and boxing ability. The fact this might be a career changing fight for either guy adds to intrigue.
The disparity in speed and ability between Maidana and Mayweather is too much to create a competitive fight.Comment

So you are saying that I'm right. Broner became the new Berto! But can we not lie and act like the second Maidana beat Broner there were several comments on this very forum stating that Chico could do the same to Floyd if Floyd gave him the fight. Can we at least admit that much? Can we admit that it wasn't until a poll got brought up that people were claiming that Chico would now be a garbage opponent. Can we be honest for one motherfucking day out of the got damn year?
Look bud, there will ALWAYS be someone who posts things like that. A few Maidana fans, a few Floyd haters but how about YOU being honest for a change or at least UNBIASED!!! What were the percentage of those posts who said that Maidana will beat Floyd like Broner?
I made a poll the other day which was removed. There was only 1 guy who posted that they would be satisfied with the Maidana pick!!! I bet you that guy was a Maidana fan!
Go check out the current poll. The odds are still very low. Something like 3% chance of Maidana winning if it went the distance. Now if Maidana didn't KO Broner, who Maidana was target practicing with, you think Maidana will easily KO Floyd now?
Again, be honest. Maidana has a slim punchers chance and not much more .....Comment

I don't know where you read that I agree'd that Broner was the new Berto, he's got a few more losses to go before then. But the poll you put up yesterday proves my point. Had you have put that poll up the day after Chico beat Broner, do you honestly believe that only one person would have voted yes, let's keep it honest. You want me to be honest right, I'm asking the same of you. And to answer your question, I don't give Chico a shot in hell to beat Floyd, but you must realize, I don't give anyone at 147 or 154 a shot in hell. It's not me being biased, it's me recognizing that he is clearly the best fighter from 154 on down, it can't be refuted. Like it or not. For me, as a Floyd fan, it's not about him fighting guy's who the public thinks will beat him, he's going to be the overwhelming favorite against anyone he fights, for me, it's about if the opponent is credible or not. I find it very hard to make a case for Maidana not being a credible opponent. So you are saying that I'm right. Broner became the new Berto!

Floyd fights the #1 challengers every time he fights and people always try to downgrade his opponents before he fights them. This is boxing anything can happen. Chino earned this fight that simple. His last few fights he hasn't lost...everybody else including Pacman has multiple times. Right choice.Comment

Who did Ortiz and Guerrero need to beat to face Floyd? Berto!
Who did Maidana need to beat to get to face Floyd? Broner
Do you know that Broner had just moved up from 130 to 135 like a year ago? You do know that Paulie gave Broner lots of problems in his first fight at 147? If Paulie had any kind of power, Broner would have lost to Paulie!
Did Maidana need to avenge his loss to Devon? Khan? NO! So all it took was to beat Broner. So for YOU, beating Broner made this fight credible.
"Broner is still young and has lots to learn .... he fought Maidana too flat-footed" - Floyd MayweatherComment
