In that case lol... that confirms the claims by Juanma Lopez and some other fighter (forgot his name, this was back in 2009) who said Gamboa was very difficult to negotiate with as he always asked for ridiculous amounts that made it seem as if he wasn't serious about getting the fight done. Both fighters made VERY similar claims and also mentioned that Gamboa was a very weird person as well lol.

Gamboa won't price himself out. He is desperate. He'll come down. It's Mikey and his team who are reluctant to take this fight (which is very annoying, considering how Mikey used to regularly say in videos years ago, when he was up and coming, that he specifically wanted Gamboa)

Dan, I disagree, I think Garcia will have to accept a better fight. HBO won't keep paying for fights vs easy competition. They didn't pick up GGGs last mismatch

I'm sure they will find somebody they will accept that the fans will be 'okay' with.
I just feel they're trying too build him into a superstar and they're going to fight barely acceptable but sellible opposition and the media will create a monster.
Good fighters but 100% made to order.

For me they're looking at a mega fight in the near future against Manny. Maybe Mannys last fight. I don't think Garcia and his team are too confident about fighting Gamboa.
