Roach probably wants Cotto to fight bigger guys and get used to punching against taller fighters not shorter ones.

That's the only reason I can think of for this decision.

Pac could help Cotto out tremendously with speed and timing. They would both benefit from each other.

Roach is putting up a smokescreen. Does he expect us to believe that Cotto is going halfway around the globe to hit the heavybag, do mitt work, and run laps around a track? Cotto and Pacquiao are going to spar, regardless of what the media reports.
