These are the posts that make this thread bump worthy.
But I do agree, I don't see Floyd stopping him. And there are some good insight ful posts in here about how much Maidana has progressed, and his fighting spirit. I want to see a fight where Floyd has to go through some real adversity.
Is Maidana the man to do it?
I'm glad he is getting the chance to show if he can, and not Khan.Comment

I dont buy the strength thing. Maidana is strong.. his problem that night was gameplan, and perhaps passion. He seemed listless in that fight by most accounts. Perhaps his trainers fate was weighing on his mind.Alexander is physically stronger than Broner, Devon has used those wrestling tactics for quite some time so it's only understandable that he would be that effective. On top of that Alexander was a '47 while fighting at '40, this is why he looked that much stronger as soon as he entered the division.
Yes Maidana's trainer Rudy Perez was not with him training or in the corner fight night. Guy had cancer or something. Anyway Maidana was not receiving quality instruction to try to adapt to something so unsporting. More to the point, I have watched Maidana's entire fight library and Devon's clinching was definitely something he wasnt prepared for, he had never encountered that before.
it would change. Maidana would borrow Porter's strategy which he is more than capable of doing.
I know right..
To me his approach to Devon and his approach to Broner are night and day, and shows he has a rare ability to learn new behavior. Most fighters fall into a way of things but Maidana just does whatever works.
no not at all. His best chance involves hurting Floyd. He wasnt leveraging his shots on Khan how he is whinging them now. Put Khan in the ring now and see if his "whiskers" hold up. Of course Khan wont give chino a rematch because he knows this, even if his fans dont.
lol...
Makdana.... ? Lol. Look as ive explained Maidana's approach to the fight would be better than Canelo's was.Comment
