If it comes down to money, then Lara is out of the question. He's a compelling match up, but the guy needs a win over somebody like Canelo or Cotto in order to put his name into the limelight. I love Lara, but his handlers aren't doing the best job of publicizing him.

A big name fight is all he really needs, then I'm sure he'd be a viable name for the Mayweather lottery.

I do too but you got to be realistic. Why fight Lara when you can fight Maidana and make the same amount of money.

he would make more fighting maidana actually, probably by a large margin.

floyd has now business fighting over 147 realistically, he only does it for major fights against major names like DLH, cotto and alvarez. he wont bother for a guy like lara.

lara should focus on securing that alvarez fight and come out on top, if he does he might make it worth while for flyd to box him at a weight he isnt comfortable. i would love to see mayweather-lara, i dont think it would be boring at all, i think it might be the single most exciting fight that can be made. but right now its not a realistic fight.
