And I'm with Teddy, the idea of the Facebook fans being the final tiebreaker is absurd. If anything, I would've preferred odd numbered rounds to avoid draws like in the Contender.
I completely agree about the Facebook thing. But I don't see it in the same light as open scoring. The fighters have no clue what the judges scores are, until they are announced. I thought Amidu had won the fight against Rudd, but it was close enough to where a draw wasn't a travesty or robbery. Rudd won the draw breaker round.

One round, give it hell, is how I see it in it's best form. I think it's o.k. for a tournament like this.

I'm not basing it on last nights fight although I was still impressed. Ghanaian fighters are usually tough as nails if not anything and Carcamo obliterated him.

Carcamo gave Michael Perez a tough fight, upset Maldonado Jr, and flattened Vicente Escobedo in 2 rounds. Even Broner didn't do that when he cheated him on the scales. I also thought Carcamo beat Andrew Cancio in another war. He still needs to work on his defense but he's fought stiff competition and he's only 21 I think.

No doubt. He's one of the few of these guys I'd seen before last night. That's why I think he beats Gonzolaz. I was criticizing his opponent. His opponent was pathetic and honestly, wasn't even good enough to enter this thing. Even with the mediocre talent level competing.

Now you made me feel bad, lol. Reason I remember it is because when they mentioned that if it was still a draw it would go to FB fans, Teddy had a hissy fit. He said something like he thought it was crazy that the fans at home would get to decide the future of the fighters after they mentioned if it got to that point. His scores for the first couple fights were ridiculous

I was watching the fight and try to ignore him. Missed it. Happens but shouldn't.

Carcamo vs Petrov in the final could be a good fight. Russian battle was amazing yesterday, hell of a fight.

The whole night was great and I'm glad they used the fans at home to decide the winner. They got it right.

I agree. All of the fights were exciting. I'm definitely locked in and wanna see who wins it. Hopefully the middleweight verison is just as good. Although I would like to see a legitimate contender emerge from that one. None of the lightweights are ever gonna contend for a title.

I disagree I think if Petrov wins he's a serious contender.

Hmmmm, we'll see. He's had one crack at the big time and failed miserably against Chino. But that was at 40. Maybe he'll do better at 35. He was recently beaten by an undefeated fighter. So we'll see what happens. The lightweight division is heating up. Winning this tourney would increase his value and maybe get him a shot at one of the top guys.
