Maidana is qualified to fight FLoyd as he beat Broner, which is really saying Broner is as good as Floyd?
Maidana isn't even the best Argentinian, Lucas is better. So why is Floyd always fighting weaker opposition than his peers, Garcia had to beat Lucas?

Floyd is ducking Khan. Khan has been touted to be Floyds opponent for ages, so Floyd is showing just how easy it is to jump in the queue.

I think this is all a ploy by Team Mayweather and GB because of the perceived backlash from the boxing public who believes that Amir Khan is an easy cherry pick and is therefore deemed unworthy of a Mayweather bout because there's no way in the world, that Mayweather steps in he ring with a hard and dangerous puncher as Marcos Maidana, who more than doubles his work rate and at the same time averages 80 punches per round. Especially in light of what he witnessed in that Broner bout. It's too risky of a fight for him.

So if he's avoiding a Manny Pacquiao bout, then what makes us gullible boxing fans believe that he is willing and seriously considering a bout with a similar boxer, who is naturally bigger and perhaps an even stronger puncher than Pacquiao?

I predict that this promotion will tank and will lose a lot of money at the box office due to this ploy of having Amir Khan twisting in the wind and also because of the poor planning and preparation of this bout. Time is running out and thus far Showtime/CBS seem very reluctant in pressuring Golden Boy and Mayweather to officially announce their next opponent in order to help salvage it. Afterall, the fight is less than 10 weeks away and history has shown us that it takes a lot longer than that to sell a successful PPV card.

Floyd is fighting more regularly for once this years, so he cant afford to and hasn't got time to play these games who will be my next opponent games.

He may get away with that rubbish when fighting once every 2 years but in the real world it don't don't work.

Khan is right he should have took the Alexander fight and earned his shot. Not listen to the naysayers. Maidana has a title and is Champ so a unification with Floyd makes sense. Khan couldn't beat Maidana in a rematch at 147 he barely beat him the 1st time. Khan has been obsessed with fighting Floyd for years, like his whole career revolves around a fight with Floyd, yet he's done nothing in the sport to deserve a fight but run his mouth get Knocked out, down, and back out of winnable title fights..

If Khan is so eager to fight at 147 he should beat Porter, Thurman or at least Guerrero

Haile-lu-jah!!! I hope this is true!!! If Floyd has chosen Maidana, then boxing might still be alive. The Champs should choose the champs, not just the most popular. Maidana and Danny Garcia have done more to get this fight @ 147. Only Lara would be more deserving. If Khan thinks he deserves the shot, he can go get it by way of Thurman, Porter, and Garcia. Good luck with that!

I wish Mayweather would just skip the fight in May. Have Garcia/Herrera and Khan/Maidana II in March/April...have the winners of those two fights fight in June, and then the last man standing (Garcia) for Floyd's one fight in 2014.

The Maidana fight will sell less than Guerrero (already considered a failure) and the only way the fight is entertaining is if Floyd puts a Gatti on him. Either way, this fight is just filling time.

How do you come to this conclusion??Maidana clearly has the better wins on his resume..Not to mention he's won a strap while Lucas has not..
