Kovalev is a star no matter what

Kovalev is a rising star no matter what, Stevenson would be a nice foil to catapult him to super stardom , but starddom will come if he stays patient and dedicated, Stevenson is 36 and getting older by the minute, got lucky fighting Chad Dawson after Dawson's beat down at the hands of Andre Ward.

Are you writing boxing fans should not criticize a fighter unless they would take that fighter's place in the ring? Does this fallacy need to be explained to you?

... dat monster ain't relevant... he ain't even slick, man...
... while Stebenson has options: he may fight Bute at the Bell Centre...

being the best isnt based on how much skill you have its about what you do with that skill bc when you die, your legend ends

its like workin your whole life to save $5 million nd you die before spending a $1. yeah youve had a lot of money/talent BUT WHAT EXACTLY DID YOU DO W IT?!
Leave it to your children so they can have a better life like you're supposed to

Chad Dawson was made "great" by a feather fisted grandpa' B-Hop...
Dawson best wins were against a 40 years old Tarver...
                Dawson even lost against Pascal...
Sad Chad doesn't have a promoter or a trainer right now... It's sad...

... But, overall, Adonis is a quite solid fighter -- he can box, he can punch (even if only with his straight left)...

... In order to conclude: Stevenson would not take a Kovalev fight willingly!!! Adonis is not ******: he knows he can't escape Frankenstein's mobile power...

... Remember? Frankenstein "ain't slick" at all -- he simply kills people into the ring...

Maybe...but if Stevenson dosn't fight Kovalev and defects (as Haymon fighters tend to) then Kovalev is left with no belts to fight for and basically no opponents of any relevence. All Stevenson (or BHop) need to do is keep fighting the occasional mando, sit on the belts and Kovalevs career basically goes nowhere. Eventually, he's probably forced up to cruiser.

How's Kovalev gonna become a superstar fighting the Cedric Agnews of the world - whilst the 3 belt Unified champion gets the (cherry)pick of any new talent that might arise?

I postulated that this might kinda been the strategy when Shumenov went into the Haymon/GBP fold but then it seemed less likely when the HBO deal came up.

Leave Stevenson alone. Leave Mayweather alone.

Sell out phukin Collisee and don't talk about either Floyd or Stevenson anymore. Let money talk for them.

So I can understand Kovalev talking like this because it seems like whether or not the fight happens will be decided any day now based upon how these negotiations go.
I see. I didn't know this. I thought Adonis signing was a formality at this point.
