I calculate it by who they fought and beat. What do you mean much better? He could not even beat canelo or lara so what does it matter if he has better defense? Martinez wont be smothering cotto, he will be punching him hard as cotto comes in something passive Trout don't do very well.

Vicious Chavez punches? Did we watch the same fight? Chavez didn't land anything "vicious " until the 12th and we seen what happened then. Point in case, Martinez gets hurt in every fight. All I'm saying is if cotto hurts him, he will finish him. And all the talk about Martinez being too big, if anybody can't remember I'll remind ya Martinez couldn't land a solid fight at 154 that's why he moved to 160. It wasn't Cuz he's like this huge dude that couldn't make 154 anymore. Martinez is probably the smallest 160 pounder out of them all, so its not like cotto is fighting Chavez who was on of the biggest 160pounder, he's fighting someone that comes to weight-in at 158-159 for all his fightsLast edited by chepboxingking; 02-20-2014, 07:59 PM.Comment

And If He Doesn't Impress, Are You Willing To Say He's Too Old???
I wish these guys would shut up. Schaefer, Sergio's "Adviser ", Tim Bradley, Juan Manuel Marquez, Brandon Rios... These guys say the dumbest ****! Just shut up, train, and show up to fight. Do we really need to hear from an "Adviser " Sergio will impress??? Clown, you don't know that? Sergio may dance around with his hands down to his sides, like he did with Chavez Jr, and get caught by a bomb that stretches him out. Sergio may show and get old right before our eyes, and struggle to get off. No need to hype this fight; everyone will buy it, then we'll see. When Cotto beats Sergio the excuse will be the lay off from the injury. Hell, Sergio has hand injuries in each of his last four fights. Just shut up, and show up.Comment

lol i remember when pac said he would fight martinez if martinez fought at 147 and weighed in the same day of the fight hahahah. catchweight manny. at least he is no longer asking for those advantages, and he is off the roids.Comment

What about him fighting outside during a *******ial downpour with a torn meniscus with a broken hand? Will Sergio be dealing with those same conditions in June at MSG? Will he be facing a bigger, super-defensive boxer or will he be the taller man with a 6 inch reach advantage facing an aggressive body puncher who needs to get inside to be effective?Comment

Body shot
I think a prime Martinez would beat Cotto. But watching the Martinez vs Murray fight, round 4 Martinez got caught with a solid body punch and complained to the ref of a low blow and almost got 5 minutes to rest. I watched over and over and it was a solid body punch to the ribs and he was clearly hurt. just sayingComment
