It is akin to saying that the best defensive fighters of their time - people like Whitaker, Locche, Pep and Mayweather - would not be knocked out by the heavyweights of their time. After all, if the people in their weightclasses could not catch them how could heavyweights?
It is so absolutely nothing like that in any way.

Roy fought at heavyweight. He pretty easily beat one of the more consistently competitive heavyweights of the 2000s. To say he could manage to beat David Haye is plenty reasonable. Maybe Haye knocks him out, maybe not, but to completely dismiss the idea Roy would win is plain overrating David Haye.

      haye would spark roy

honestly can't see a possibility of him winning

roy was slow at heavyweight, ruiz was hitting him, david haye is a huge puncher, he's taller than ruiz and alot faster

no way roy wins, if he somehow managed i'd have to consider him some sort of demigod

The fact that were talking about how a fighter who was primed at 160-168 against excellent heavyweights tells you where he would be on a P4P list.

Roy Jones, his ability to put on a show whilst facing the level of opposition we have today would have grant him that. Beating fighters up while showboating, can it get better than that?

If Roy Jones was in his prime he'd be #1 in any era, to be honest.

He's the most impressive fighter of all time, IMO.

If he had the balls to fight any of the top fighters. Those divisions were stacked when Roy was top dog and he somehow ended up fighting toilet cleaners 90% of the time.
