Matthew Macklin is a world class fighter.

No way he can be top 5.....

      Not even top 10..

He is close to being top 10, but if macklin is your signature win, I can't have you top 10 p4p
He is an honorable mention but needs a top level win to enter rankings

Yeah man. Once Golden Boy cleaned house and Nigel Collins et al left it's been a joke. Their p4p list is now done by one single guy whereas before it was collective opinions on staff and writers, experts.

Hardly. He's European/fringe world class at best and he's pretty shopworn.

I'll give you Lara, but Ward needs to take his ass up to 175.

He gave Martinez a solid fight. Sturm as well.

Maybe the MW division might be somewhat "weak." But the top fighters in a division are the top fighters in a division

                ******...smh

Golovkin may eventually come to be seen as a top P4P fighter - (in fact I think 10-20 ain't unreasonable right now), but without a marquee name to seal it, he's just a guy who looks incredibly impressive beating up second tier opposition.

This may be why suggestions of him climbing a division to fight Ward right now are treated with the derision they deserve. Whether or not he could win such a fight (and I'm in the majority thinking it unlikely), until he's proved himself against the top of his own division, such dicussion is premature.

If you look at it objectively does his resume and quality of opposition merit it? Or is this just a sign of HBO being desperate and trying to push GGG faster?
Are you sure he put GGG in his p4p list or on the Gatti List?

GGG will be in the top 5 after he takes care of Martinez

As for Lampley............dudes just a nut case.

not yet, but he will for sure. boxing will take its place again as the gentleman's sport and golovkin is the man that will do it. Never again the, 'scared coward tag,' will ever emerge in the sport of boxing.

                      ggg is the next pac!
