So you would rather watch GGG beat up tomato cans than watch Ward outclass top level opposition???

1) I'm a hardcore boxing fan, I watch any boxing I can get. I'm not a good measuring stick for that.

2) "Tomato cans" is a bit harsh. Proksa and Macklin are fringe world class and Rosado and Stevens are solid second raters. Of GGG's recent opponents, only Ishida can be considered a tomato can.

I recall GGG being specifically asked if he wanted to fight Ward and (again I could be remembering wrong) and he said yes hed want that fight. GGG probably wants it his team likely does not. Same thing with Sergio he said hed be willing to fight Andre and lou was like "Hes not fighting Andre...".

Still, Ward called team GGG's bluff and it looks real bad.


Btw i love some guys comment earlier about "Ward calling out a smaller man when GGG can just fight Canelo" who ironically.... Is a weight division lower than GGG. >__>.... Wht kind of logic is this? Ward basically did what Pac and Floyd should have at some point done to each other and thats call the bluff.

Beating Ward would alone likely get him into the HOF. Career making win so if GGG really wants a challenge it'll happen. Theyre both young..ish. Lol

The difference is canelo is killing himself to make 154... he damn near weighs 180 pounds on fight night, how do you not get that? big difference. GGG isnt killing himself to make 160 and he says he can make 154. Imagine if Canelo tried to make 147, i wouldn't want to see that, he can't even stand up at weigh ins making 152.

True about his comp, but Canelo was a bigger star before he ever got his first good scalp in Trout. GGG had the 3rd highest rated fight of 2013, and was voted fighter of the year in a Ring readers poll. That means lotsa fan appeal

A lotta Canelo's "starpower" was manufactured. He had a lotta that DLH matinee idol appeal to start with. And GBP basically used that and started putting him on Floyd's undercards to build his appeal. Plus, I think he'd already been a huge draw in Mexico before the GBP push. Similar to how Pacquiao was a bigger star in the Philipines probably than DLH was here before he even came across the water. Canelo was basically groom for a mega showdown with Floyd. His true "starpower" will be put to the tst now that that's over with.

Ward is just jealous that people actually want to see GGG fight where as with him, people couldnt care less.

Nobody wants to see a 168lb spoiling version of Rigondeaux.

I consider Macklin a legit contender. I consider Proska and Stevens fringle contenders. Rosado and Ishida are jr middleweights. The last cat GGG fought was a joke too.
