Will Danny Garcia carry his power to 147?

I didn't see too much snap in his punches when he fought Lucas Matthysse.

He had power in that fight but not stopping power. Matthysse kept coming. DSG didn't have enough power to stop Matthysse from coming forward, so he resorted to low blows, clinches, and headbutts.

    What do you guys think?

Will Danny Swift have power at 147?

Freddie Roach says power doesn't usually carry up, and I think that mostly tends to be the case.

Garcia doesn't have huge power at 140 anyway, Judah, Matthysse, Holt, Morales all went 12 with him, Campbell and Theophane went the distance too.

Do you see DSG getting knockout wins at 147?

No, his only two KO wins at 140 are Khan and old Morales at the second bite.

He's not going to move up and start knocking opponents out.

I don't necessarily think he has to bring his power up to 147, but more so his chin, timing, and counter punching.

As long as he still has that, he'll be more than fine.

Lucas was getting countered by Garcia and he was weary coming in freely. Garcia has heavy hands but I don't see him KOing anybody unless it is a good counter

He is pretty big at 140 not having to cut so much could well help him.

At 140, I'd rate his power an A. If he he moves up to 147, my guess is it'll be in the B, B+ range. Which is still pretty good

Get over it! And yeah, he will be just fine at 147.
