Lance was busted because USADA had sworn testimonies from Floyd Landis, Tyler Hamilton, Betsy and Frankie Andreu, George Hincapie, and others. It was either get 6 months in prison or admit Lance was cheating. It turned criminal because when Lance won his 7 Tour de France yellow shirts, he was on the United States Postal Service team and the people who paid Lance's checks were actual taxpayers.

Does it really matter? U have people crying on this site for better testing then they ask for it and you still cry that it's not vada. And if a fighter lik JMM were to use vada or both and come out clean thn you would still cry that memo know how to beat the system!

They did catch Lance Armstrong, but it happened much much later than it should have because Armstrong was very good at cheating. He has even failed tests a decade ago, but he always got out of it (like by bribing doctors to illegally write a fake prescription).
If a container is contaminated it can result in false positives. So the tests can reveal it was drug A, even though it's not even a drug. I don't really believe this was the case though. But VADA's unprofessionalism opened this type of accusations.
USADA doesn't let you pick what you tested for, and Winky Wright never said that either. But yes, VADA's biggest downfall is it's association with Victor Conte.Comment

USADA had been su****ious of Armstrong for a long time. He also has failed a few tests before too (which many incorrectly say he never failed). But again, Armstrong would get out of the situation back then through fake prescriptions, ducking tests, etc.
When some of his teammates came forward about Armstrong (after they themselves were caught for a failed test), that's when they started learning a lot more about the details. Who cheated, how they cheated, etc. USADA also re-tested samples of Armstrong, and it confirmed drugs.
The problem was it comes way after the fact. Way after he became a household name and super millions of dollars later. But he was good, very good.Comment

I don't care for Garcia but if what he is saying his true, VADA is very unprofessional and cannot be trusted. A lot of people don't care for VADA including Athletic commissions. However, I heard USADA is a lot more expensive.Comment

This is true. But while this is true, whatever third party VADA uses, is quite unprofessional. Because it wasn't just California where VADA was found testing Rios unprofessionally, but it also happened in China. So that would make for 2 separate parties taking samples unprofessionally.
And if you disbelieve, check out these two clips. One is Rios getting tested in the U.S., and the other in China. Both clips are questionable, with the China version is being the worse, as they got Rios literally standing out in public peeing right in front of the ring. The China clip begins with him pissing.
