Yes he can, and will eventually. He's still pretty green, give hime some time. My point is, Why talk about fighters going up in weight to fight so and so? NO one is asking Floyd to go up in weight! If Ward, Froch, etc... said they are coming to 160 and GGG avoided them, I would say the same thing about him.

Why would a Welterweight from Showtime be fighting a Middleweight from HBO?

              Any takers you ******s.

So Canelo is not too big for Floyd but GGG isnt? They seem pretty the same size to me. GGG can make 154 for a big money fight.

We know the answer anyway: Floyd just takes fights he wins easily and so his next fight will be against Khan who didnt even fight at 147 and who lost 2 of his last 4 fights. Floyd would never get into the ring with GGG because that would be a challenge for the #1 p4p guy and a treat to the fans worldwide, but Floyd gives a **** about his fans.

(Not sure how accurate this is from boxrec. I thought I saw of pic of Canelo and Gennady standing side by side and Saul appeared taller)

I keep seeing post about Gennady being so much bigger, but there doesn't appear to be much difference from his size and those of Alvarez or De la Hoya. That AND he's willing to come down to 154. He's just about as unproven as Canelo was at the time of their fight and Floyd had no problem allowing Canelo to drain himself to 152 (I forget the exact weight, but I think that was it), but why are we apprehensive about Gennady draining himself to do the same thing? Sergio also offered to go lower than that for both he and Manny, who is a natural 154 lber that has been fighting naturally bigger guys for the last 4 years. I don't even think Gennady would win this fight, but Floyd is picking very carefully who he will face in order to protect his 0, because he knows how fickle we as fight fans can be. The Mayweather brand is almost totally reliant on that undefeated record.

And while we are talking about protecting 0s; yes Gennady and Abel Sanchez are doing the same thing by not moving up to face Ward, Froch, or anyone else at 168. They will avoid those men for a while, I don't doubt. I would be even more critical if Ward or any of them stated that they would meet Gennady at 160, but to my knowledge none have done so. But, they are both guilty of avoiding certain challenges. Both guilty in my eyes, I won't play favorites.

Aside from this, like some others had said; networks would be a major issue
Mike Tyson is 5'10 so and so... You idiot.
