Why can't Golovkin fight Adonis Stevenson? Why won't he fight Andre Ward? Weight difference is the answer.
Why can't Floyd vs GGG happen?

GGG is a ****ing MW that punches like a HW. People need to stop asking an average sized WW like mayweather to fight him. It's never going to happen and as great as mayweather GGG is too ****in big for him that it would not even be fair.Comment

Gennady is 5'10 1/2 with a 70" reach
Saul Alvarez is 5'9 with a 70 1/2" reach
De la Hoya is 5'10 1/2 with a 73" reach
Floyd Mayweather is 5'8 with a 72" reach
(Not sure how accurate this is from boxrec. I thought I saw of pic of Canelo and Gennady standing side by side and Saul appeared taller)
I keep seeing post about Gennady being so much bigger, but there doesn't appear to be much difference from his size and those of Alvarez or De la Hoya. That AND he's willing to come down to 154. He's just about as unproven as Canelo was at the time of their fight and Floyd had no problem allowing Canelo to drain himself to 152 (I forget the exact weight, but I think that was it), but why are we apprehensive about Gennady draining himself to do the same thing? Sergio also offered to go lower than that for both he and Manny, who is a natural 154 lber that has been fighting naturally bigger guys for the last 4 years. I don't even think Gennady would win this fight, but Floyd is picking very carefully who he will face in order to protect his 0, because he knows how fickle we as fight fans can be. The Mayweather brand is almost totally reliant on that undefeated record.
And while we are talking about protecting 0s; yes Gennady and Abel Sanchez are doing the same thing by not moving up to face Ward, Froch, or anyone else at 168. They will avoid those men for a while, I don't doubt. I would be even more critical if Ward or any of them stated that they would meet Gennady at 160, but to my knowledge none have done so. But, they are both guilty of avoiding certain challenges. Both guilty in my eyes, I won't play favorites.
Aside from this, like some others had said; networks would be a major issueComment

So why can't GGG fight Lara at 154? and high and reach mean nothing..Tyson was 5'11 with a shorter reach then Floyd...Paul Williams was 6'3 with a reach longer then WladGennady is 5'10 1/2 with a 70" reach
Saul Alvarez is 5'9 with a 70 1/2" reach
De la Hoya is 5'10 1/2 with a 73" reach
