    After endless talking in the last few weeks about who Floyd Mayweather will be facing on May 3rd, WBA Welterweight champion Marcos Maidana is still in his native Santa Fe, Argentina - as he waits for news about whether it will be him who takes the spot.

    In the meantime. Maidana engaged last night in a charity exhibition match against Argentine hot prospect Damián Sosa in a card at the small town of Santo Tome that generateed incredible expectations from fans and boxing press.

      The fight is there. I'm just waiting for the announcement. I think i's already there for the 3rd of May.

                      Mayweather-Maidana and Khan-Broner would be pretty good. Maidana has earned the Floyd fight but I don't think he'll win it.

                          Wow, it does seem he has been told it will be him. That's awesome! The buildup for the fight ill be exciting to say the least, they have a great storyline to work with.

                                  How about Mayweather-Kahn as the main event and Maidana-Broner as the co-main? That's a better card than what's being proposed.

                                      Schaeffer was lying when he mentioned a rematch clause.Everyone knew that, some chose to believe it.

                                      I don't think Maidana minds a rematch. I just think he wants Mayweather more.
