The poll was a farce. GBP and Mayweather were trying to prove to all the critics that Khan was this huge star with this huge fanbase and that he would destroy Maidana in the poll.

Well. he should want it cause it's a career retiring payday win or lose. He also did mention he would retire if he beat Mayweather. I don't know if he could with all the money that would be thrown at him or a potential clash with Pacquiao at that point, but we'll see what happens...

Also, im sure Mayweather would have a rematch clause if he lost so Marcos wouldn't be able to retire right away.

How about Mayweather-Kahn as the main event and Maidana-Broner as the co-main? That's a better card than what's being proposed.

That's possible. But if Broner is gonna let "Big Bro" have Maidana. I'd imagine his next fight would be at 140. To me, Peterson would be the perfect opponent.
