Maidana should get this fight on May 3rd with Floyd, for all the right reasons. The most important reason being that he earned it the old-fashioned way, by just kicking azz and taking names.

The poll could have been a way of giving something to Khan (exposition + consolation prize) after he lost the fight. The guy was losing all the independent polls and now at least he can say he won the MW poll and would have deserved the fight. He needs to rebuild his name and this is useful.

Maidana is more deserving of a fight out of him and Khan but Khan will probably get it because it will sell a little better, neither fights would be competitive though.
