If Angulo KO's Canelo would it affect Mayweather's legacy?

    Get real dip s.hit

Also not to discredit Floyd but it's not exactly like Canelo did anything in their fight to try and win that fight. He simply stuck to one (safe but horrible) plan. He tried to outbox the best and if it didn't work (which it obviously didn't) guess what he did? He kept doing the same old safe, lousy thing. Never tried to switch it up, never tried to adjust.

He played it safe, and became one of the richest 23 year olds from his ranch on the mountain.

Would it harm Floyd Jr.'s legacy? If yes, in what way?
I think that catch weight harmed his legacy cause anyone with half a brain knows it was done to weaken the opponent. It would have been a better win if the bout was held at 154

I does he even get any credit anymore these days? If he hasn't fought someone then it's he is ducking that fighter and how that fighter should be an option, the moment he signs to fight that same fighter then it = He cherry picked that fighter.

I don't think anyone should argue with this post here.

It would make Erislandy Lara look good, though.

I agree. Mayweather fought at 154 before. Twice, in fact. If you want to treat boxing as a sport with 100 percent integrity, the Mayweather-Canelo 152 lb catchweight should have not been for the 154 lb titles. Instead it should have been a non-title fight like Mayweather-Mosley.

Gut feeling tells me gbp realized canelo not going to be a great fighter, so they cashed out with Floyd fight before canelo got exposed vs someone else

                yeah its all planned out.

Garcia really deserves a floyd fight at this point but GBP has been super quiet on that fight.... when its one of the most obvious ones to be made.

They KNOW floyd would give him an L, and theyre not ready for that to happen yet in his career, they got other plans for danny at this point.....

I kind of disagree with it though because I dont think an L is a bad thing at all if it comes from floyd, it will give him huge exposure too.

That kid beat a whole bunch of small fighters At 154

Most think he lost against Trout....really??? That must be a revelation. I thought the general consensus was tough fight, close fight, but clear Canelo win. Huh....?

Gotta love when people re-write history of a Mayweather opponent. If Floyd hadn't fought Canelo, he'd had been ducking him to 99.999999% of this forum. Canelo was the RING JMW Champ and isn't green at all. He was a 23 year old champion coming off a big win.

Do your research kid. And if you're gonna call Alvarez the #1 154 (at the time) then might as well call him P4P too since that's where the RING had him.

                  Stop slurping nuts.

It would IMO..Canelo only had one good win on his record anyway before he got the Mayweather fight. If he gets Knocked out by Angulo it shows his level of skill.
Look at what Floyds last bunch of opponents have done after fighting him.
                    Oscar Nothing
                    Hatton Nothing
                    Mosely-nothing
                    Guerrero-nothing
                    Ortiz nothing
                    Canelo yet to be seen.
Shows either the level of competition he's fighting or how washed up these guys are that they accomplished nothing after fighting Floyd.

LOL, Guerrero hasn't fought since, neither has Canelo. De La Hoya OVER THE HILL. Mosely, SENIOR CITIZEN...
