Agreed. At this stage I'd rather it not happen as I could see Floyd handily outboxing Pacquaio. Totally different ballgame in Pacquiao's prime though.

Floyd struggled with Cotto. I was watching live and I couldn't believe it.

Is Floyd now better with his father or is it his choice of opposition
They both had different means of victory against common opposition, doesn't automatically stain eithers legacy.

Floyd and Pacquiao both played part to us not getting the biggest fight in a long time in boxing. They realized they didn't need each other to get paid and walked away from possible defeat and a their biggest payday.

Floyd with Roger or Floyd Sr. schools Guerrero and Canelo everyday and twice on Sunday.

dont be ridiculous, you can think he is overrated as a fighter and you sure as hell dont have to like the man but you just cant call a championship caliber professional boxer a coward. you just cant.

real recognize real, if you honestly think boxing is so easy a coward can become a multi division world champion you know nothing about the sport.

the part of his legacy too, he clearly has a great legacy. claiming he doesnt just lets people know you cant be taken seriously. thats all you ever accomplish with these immature posts full of nonsense.

For someone who calls himself the "best ever", its pretty damn bad when hes avoided the best of the prime welterweights in the last 7 years. Toss in his excuses and contradictions, and its a great comedy show seeing people try to defend him.

Can't really complain about 130-135 though. He did well.

It's pretty bad, due to the fact that he sees himself as more of a businessman than as a fighter after he beat De La Hoya. Even 50 Cent said Floyd picks fighters who he knows he'll likely beat instead of taking the risks. He left more than 100 Million on the table by not fighting Pacquiao.

15-20 years from now, he's still going to be saying he doesn't get the credit he deserves, but he brought it on himself by not fighting the best. It's just a shame really though, since I truly think if he fought the best fighters he would maybe still be undefeated or at the very least have 1 or 2 losses at the most. But he'd be remembered more greatly than he is now.

Floyd will be remembered as probably the greatest fighter of this generation. His legacy will be fine. Sure he won't be considered the GOAT but he had no shot at that anyways. I mean its cool to hate on him in these message boards. But if u hear the way other boxers and trainers talk about him, it's no question his legacy is safe.

In 20 years time, when fight fans (non casuals) talk Boxing and bring Mayweathers name up..the point that he ducked other fighters will come up in the coversation..and rightly so.

                    It is. what it is.

i'm confused? how is he stained when he sells a million PPVs & he makes millions\fight? i'd love to see the pacquiao fight but he is so far ahead of the competition. he beats guys with ease & he's undefeated. he hasn't taken any easy fights in my opinion. I don't like him but he is the best fighter on the planet! pacman\Bradley winner will fight him. i'd be surprised if he doesn't fight both of them before he retires.
