Santa Cruz would do much better than expected.

Santa Cruz by early KO over Rigo if applys pressure and lets his hands go. Rigo does not have a great chin either but he is highly skilled.

Maybe a pretty competitive fight but Cruz isn't beating Rigo.

Santa Cruz tries to be too aggressive early (because everyone thinks it's so easy to do against Rigo) , then he gets tagged with some good shots. Realizes he cannot just swarm in recklessly , and that's where it all goes to ****.

Because the more careful Cruz becomes , the more Rigo settles , and we fall asleep and we get 12 more threads about how boring the fight was blah blah blah.

Santa Cruz may be able to perform better than most would expect but it's hard (if not impossible) to see him beating Rigondeaux. **** while we're at it it's hard to see ANYBODY in and around Rigo's weight that could give him a serious test, let alone beat him.

Rigondeaux wins easily. Cruz's work rate goes from 100 punches per round to virtually zilch and gets turned into the punchbag he is.

I have no idea why this kids held in such high regard, there is nothing special about him what so ever excluding his gas tank/workrate. And believe me, there is such a thing as throwing too many punches. You see his last fight against that southpaw light flyweight that showed him some movement? Could almost see the cogs turning in his head, he hadn't a clue what to do and just continued plodding and throwing for the sheer sake of it.
