Matthysse probably needed some extra time for his injuries to heal. I think he broke his orbital bone.

He will be back shortly though. His career is far from over. Danny was just the better man in September.

The hype has quieted a lot but I do believe Matthysse is still one of the best fighters at 140.

Danny gets full props for winning the fight, but it was a close fight, and it might have gone differently if Matthysse had both is eyes. Danny also needed an awful lot of low blows.
Lucas will be back and breaking heads, count on it.
