This forum was so hyped over Matthysse it was sickening. Haha. I mean, most were literally awaiting to see Garcia crucified as it knocked out cold.

If the roles were reversed and Matthysee CLOSED Garcia's eye and scored a knockdown later, you would be speaking differently. In my opinion, there is no way in hell YOU and many of the fan boys of the forum would be calling for a REMATCH. And if any poster brought a rematch up, many of you would laugh hysterically and say the next time Matthysee will do Garcia worse and put him in a coffin permanently.

I wasn't shocked to see Matthysse's reaction. He was never arrogant pre-fight for many of his bouts. And even afterwards, he was always chill.

Pacquaio vs. Marquez is not a good example, because their first fight was scored a DRAW. So a rematch was logical and justified. It's different from Matthysse vs. Garcia.

I'm not against a rematch. It would be good to see.

My thing is that if the roles were reversed, the vast majority here wouldn't be asking for a rematch. Everyone instead would be calling Garcia a fighter that got exposed, how Garcia was overrated, etc etc. The name calling and disrespect would be endless.

But because that wasn't the case, a rematch is wanted. And I feel most that want the rematch, only want to see it because they want Matthysse to avenge the loss and 'prove' them right since Garcia proved them wrong the first time.

Seriously I haven't heard jack from Matthysse since he got his ass whooped. His fans seemed to think he was the next big thing and that Mayweather would duck him.... what's happened? Has he retired? Does he have PTSD?
