Oh yes. Mayweather chose Canelo because Dan Rafael tweeted it and his minions agreed. Not because it was the most logical and lucrative bout since forever. You're on the right path with sort of sleuthing, buddy.

Knowing how weak of a stomach Floyd has I sort of figured that's all it would take.

That would be picking Maidana IMO. The Khan fight sells overseas, but not very well here. Sure it sells around 200K in the UK, but that will be at about half the price of the the US PPV and Maidana easily offsets that with bringing more US buys.

Fighting Khan would probably make this Floyd's lowest selling PPV since before the Oscar fight. Khan doesn't have any credibility here and with guys like Dan Rafael bashing the fight it will make a very difficult sell. I just can't see an argument for Khan bringing in a lot more money than Maidana let alone more period.

Like it or not Broner was one of the biggest names in the sport when Maidana embarrassed him and the Hispanic community here would gladly get behind him to see if he can do the same to big brother. Plus no common fans remember Maidana's last loss to Alexander, but a lot remember Khan getting blitzed by Garcia just 3 fights ago, which would make this an even tougher sell.

              please, who are you kidding?

Maidana is not mexican. Khan/UK fanbase is bigger than Maidana argentinian fanbase.

Hmm.. Fishy. Seems to me Floyd rigged his, but its back firing. There is no money fighting Khan.

I'm sure you're score prediction would most likely be right, but it sure as he'll wouldn't be Canelo part II...

Maidana is a mauler, You think he'd try to go the Canelo route and box with. Mayweather!? That would never happen

Naah, people will still say Floyd should fight someone more talented. Both aren't in the same league. Hard sell. Hard truth.

Yep, not saying he will have much success (but who knows , maybe he will) but Maidana won't fight anything like Canelo did (don't understand those who say he will) and he offers way more threat that RG did who isn't a KO man especially at the higher weights..
