Yeah, Ward may want big money but he's not going to bend over for it. And why even bring up Kessler? Respectfully, no one cares about a rematch with Kessler right now.
Anyway, back to the topic. I must applaud GGG's team. They are rightfully building up their fighter and earning easy paydays in the process. And they're hoping to catch a washed up Martinez so that they can lay claim to having done something. They know that a fight with Ward equals the end of the ride so they're playing their cards wisely: Milk it for now, build up the Ward fight, get paid off that and ride into the sunset.
And I dont think Team GGG thinks a fight with Ward is a certain loss and frankly neither do I.

I guess you can look at it that way although you overlook the tasteless ducks performed by Sturm in particalur, in that process.

So Sturm is ducking? Move up then. Or just keep fighting no-hopers in front of 17 people for 300K. Whatever works.
GGG should get Sergio in the autumn, which would be appropriate. He can then bring back to relevance boxings second most storied division and rule it for years.
In the mean time Ward can feast on the Kashtonovs and Sartisons of this World at home in a semifilled Oracle Arena.

I don't understand why is GGG constantly pushed to 168. He didn't even beat any top5 MW yet and people what him to fight 2nd P2P fighter at 168?!
weight classes are there for reason. Let GGG fights Quillin, Martinez, Geale, Murrey and then see if he wants to move up, although he is too small for SMW IMO.
