That's because this state of affairs stems from them, and also doesn't have to apply to them. Mayweather and Pacquiao can agree to a fight tomorrow if they really wanted to, and promotional issues would hardly be issues at all. They're big enough stars to make that happen.

WHY!! is everyone in the Mayweather camp so worried about Pacquiao's financial status??? Why is so important that he leave Bob Arum to make a fight??? This doesn't make sense... If he is getting ripped off by Bob Arum that is HIS business..
But telling someone WHAT TO DO with their career is a B.S. move.... If Pacquiao told Mayweather "JOIN BOB ARUM AND TOP RANK AND I WILL FIGHT YOU" ...
Then everyone would say Pacquiao is ducking Mayweather and he needs to mind his own business, and that's just an excuse to not make the fight happen because everyone knows Mayweather won't join Top Rank...
So TELLING SOMEONE WHAT TO DO WITH THEIR CAREER OR NO FIGHT IS THE LAMEST EXCUSE FOR A FIGHT NOT HAPPENING! Basically Mayweather is saying "If you don't listen to my career advice for you, I won't fight you. If you don't do what I say.. I won't fight you....
Pacquiao is his own MAN and listening to some B.S. from Floyd just to make a fight happen is dumb and EVERYONE KNOWS.. MAYWEATHER NEEDS PACQUIAO, MORE THAN PACQUIAO NEEDS MAYWEATHER... Because when both of their career's end it will always be "... Mayweather, The guy that wouldn't fight Pacquiao ... as oppose to "Pacquiao, The most exciting fighter in our generation.
If I were Pacquiao I wouldn't fight Mayweather, because A. No other fighter is going to tell me what to do. B. 8 titles in 8 different weight classes will never be broken in this lifetimeComment

Honestly, I don't see a shortage of good fights, and haven't in years. And I don't see boxing dying either. Which is evident in the ridiculous numbers Floyd generally does on PPV. And the numbers that guys like GGG and Broner were doing on regular HBO and Showtime. And I was beyond surprised that the PPV numbers that Bradley-JMM did. Boxing is fine with or without Floyd-Manny. And honestly, I don't see what the big deal for Floyd-Manny is right now anyway. A couple years ago, it was a match-up between the best two fighters in the world. And it would have been a match-up to crown best of the era. Floyd is still on top. But we're not even sure if Manny is still an elite fighter. If he beats Bradley, then we have something to talk about. But as of right now, Floyd-Manny is a bigger event than fight. This war is so bad for boxing. Promoters dont give a **** about us who buy the PPV, who dont miss a fight on HBO or Showtime, that watches every ESPN FNF. Thats BS and hope the day that Arum dies, the one who takes over can try to fix all the problems that happened with GB. Im getting tired of this ****.Comment
