Don't see what the big deal is anyway all Miadana has to do is beat Broner again and he could get a shot in September. There really isn't anyone else for Floyd to fight with name recognition.
Cotto and Pac are the only fights he could take that would sell more PPV.
Gracia is not moving up this year anyway. Bradley resigned with Top Rank. Lara is not a draw, Molina is not a draw. Thurman is not there yet.

I would rather him fight Khan and someone else in Sept. than just have him fight once a year like he used to waiting for a guy to make a name for themselves to sell PPV.

1. I'm such a die hard pac fan that I won money on his two loses but ok. I respect the man and his abilities and believe he makes for an easy punching bag for fanboys who need to measure floyd's greatness by painting him in contrast of Pacquaio but ok.

2. You aren't him so you can't say his motivation. Nobody else here was mentioning pacquaio, the article didn't include pacquiao..what he said had no point at all with the article...so him mentioning him was flat out pointless and ******.

4. Khan is a pure boxer, he's a boxer who built his career on amateur background boxing meaning his focus was on the intangibles for a lot longer than most boxers Floyd has faced recently. Maidana as much as I like to watch him fight is a brawler with unorthodox way of setting up his punches..he's an improved version of Guerrero and again as much as I like Maidana he's going to walk into rights and jabs all night. Khan may be chinny but he knows how to set up his punches. Floyd's hardest fights have been against boxers with speed not brawlers so yeah if i'm going to spend $70 on a fight it better not be to watch a glorified sparring session.

I find it hilarious you want to sit there like a tool and give me pacquaio's resume..but you had no problem with Ortiz' and Guerrero's fight with Floyd based off beating the average Berto..whoppity doo...some win to be coming off from. You don't criticize Floyd fighting Marquez coming up two weight divisions. You don't bash Floyd for vacating his titles and going into retirement rather than face the mawlers at 147 who all were destroying each other for a bout against him. I'm a floyd fan but I can see the good and the bad..unfortunately you can't.

Ortiz was on a winning streak when he fought Floyd and beat undefeated Berto at the time. That is nothing to blow over when Berto was a name and on the come up. Ortiz had much more momentum going into the Floyd fight than Rios did the Pac fight.

Rios loss and was moving up in weight did you criticize that fight? Guerrero hadn't loss since 2005 and beat the shyt out of Berto having people claim he was scared of the Ghost. Robert again was making noise and was the guy to beat at WW that wasn't with Top Rank.

So was the Rios fight good or not? And how much credit do you give Pac for that fight?

Now before I dig a little deeper: Mosley, Clottey, Maragrito , and Rios all had one thing in common! What's that? They all were coming off of losses before they faced Pac what's up with that? Do you give Pac credit for that.

The TOP two fighters of this era fought Marquez at WW with a functional 4 pound weight advantage over Marquez at the weigh in. One person got knocked the phuck out. The other won all 12 rounds by out boxing him.

This is another fact for you. The two fighters that did have wins before they faced Pac what happened? Bradley beat him, because Pac was being lazy and fighting the last minute of every round taken the first two off just trotting. And practically giving rounds 10-12 to Bradley from inactivity. Even Roach said Pac gave away those last few rounds.

Marquez in 2011, controlled the temple of the fight and was landing the more telling shots and it was clearly a Marquez style fight. In 2012 Pac was actually looking good but got reckless.

I say that to say this. Pac fans (such as yourself) never shyt on Pac's resume although he is supposed to be the top two fighters of this era. So Pac's last six opponents since 2010 4 of those dudes was coming off of a loss! And the two that didn't beat him. (OUCH)

And I can say that Mayweather/Khan is a garbage fight because it is predictable, he gets countered easily and unlike Maidana Khan has been dropped and knocked out on several occasions.

Maidana is much better under Robert Garcia and has shown tremendous improvement and would give Mayweather a much better fight than Khan who would most likely get knocked out by the 6th or 7th round.

There's no freaking way Floyd jr should be doing this. It should be maidana,D Garcia,or Lara.this mayweather fan will not support this crap.

So khan ducked a lesser fighter in Alexander to fight a better fighter in Mayweather?? This is the state of boxing nowadays. Why wouldn't he fight Devon win convincingly and at the same time give the people a reason to believe he can beat Floyd. The answer is he wouldn't beat Devon and he won't beat Floyd.

Damn that is a great assessment. Exactly what I was thinking as well. It is a shame he is even in the conversation after pulling out of that fight.

The reason I used Pacs name was for 1: because Pacs always compared to Floyd and a lot think he's better and 2: the double standard... Floyd is labeled a cherry picker by a lot, PAC gets praised for his opponents by a lot... You would have to go all the way back to the Judah fight (2006) where Floyd fought someone after they had lost... Since 2006 PAC as about 10 fights where his opponent was coming off of a loss... Floyd gets crucified for fighting Hatton, Delahoya, and Mosley later in their careers yet PAC gets praised for fighting them AFTER Mayweather... When Floyd fought them they were all ranked high and coming off of good wins (including Cotto)... PAC fought all of them after losses and drained a couple of them... You guys can label Floyd as a cherry picker (he does pick weak fights sometimes) but be consistent... PAC can pick cherries with the beat of them...

For all the people saying the vote was rigged. I only got one thing to say to ya'll. OF COURSE IT WAS!!!!!!!! Broner enforced his rematch clause with Maidana. Which means if Maidana don't fight AB next. He won't be fighting anyone. But in reality, does anyone really think there's a difference between the two opponents? This May was shot to **** when Danny kicked Matthysse's overrated ass and then shunned an immediate fight with Floyd. And Floyd, GBP, and Showtime has been in scramble mode ever since. Floyd always likes to say it takes six months to build a PPV. They've been doing everything possible to find somebody better than Khan and couldn't. So here it is. Let's hope somebody steps up and makes a statement in the first half od the year to create an attractive option for Floyd in Sept. Let's look at this one as a stay busy fight. I mean hell, this site is full of folks that massage GGG's balls for fighting clowns like he just fought in the name of, "he's staying active." I'm sure we can do the same for Floyd.
