If Lara wants to move up to 160, I welcome it. You can't call out someone on your own terms and then call it a duck when it's not accepted. Lara should tweet "I'll do it at 160" and let's see what happens.
Pretty sure he said he'd move up and gladly take his belt and GGG's promoter said Lara is not on their radar and "he is not marketable" unlike ***** and Ishida

He said that in the other article posted by Boxingscene. You missed it?
I get that so much of the talk in this thread is reaction to Golovkin's increasingly annoying fans, but do you really think you're proving some point or going to make them change by acting the same way they do?
I hope I'm wrong, but there's no way this fight could get made. Golovkin is HBO. Lara is Golden Boy/Showtime. This isn't a situation that goes to purse bid like Lara/Vanes, this would have to be cooperation on both sides, and we know it's not going to happen. If Lara would fight Golovkin off American TV, there would be more of a chance, but even if he's willing I'm almost certain Golden Boy wouldn't let it happen.
Ok he doesnt beat Golovkin in your opinion so that means the fight shouldnt happen? Ibswear it seems like a lot of u Golovkin fans are content with him fighting stiffs. It's the oddest thing. Lara certainly has a better chance if beating him than anyone he's fought before.
Pirog,Murray and geale have pulled out of fights with him. Martinez wants higher profile fights? With the opponents he is being provided which all be it aren't "top level" there still quality, good opposition, he's destroying them. What's the man suppose to do? Lara says a few words on twitter calling him out and now gennadys ducking? Cause his scared to fight Lara right? Everybody from 147 on up is ducking Lara. The same Lara that Angulo was Ruffin up Anyways hope golden boy goes back to hbo cause ggg and quillin are both on record saying they wanna fight. That's a better fight that actually makes $,you can sell that at Barclays.

His last fight wasn't on HBO....saying he's hbo doesn't work 100% here.

It also wasn't on American television. Like I said, if Golden Boy and Lara's team are willing to make this fight off of American television, it has a better chance. Does anyone actually think Golden Boy would let that happen?

Ok I just read that article and did you miss the closing statement by Lara's manager? He said HBO has to talk to Haymon, but they are "very happy fighting on Showtime. They have given him the opportunities to showcase his talents and will continue to do so." In other words, the management isn't too keen on facing GGG on HBO and the higher ups haven't even begun to make an offer to HBO.
