And like I said earlier, if GGG feels all the titlist and guys to beat are with GBP, why not just drop HBO? If it's a network issue then it makes all the sense to get with the network of the guys you want to fight, no?

If there's an obvious network war going on, how are all the MW contenders ducking him? The ones that are ducking off the top of my head are Murray and Geale
Almost all the MW top tenners ducked him, and hardly any fight on Showtime. Most are happy to get on HBO any way they can, except if it involves stepping in with GGG

I just named 3 with so called "balls of steel" off the top of my head other than Lara and now you're changing your tune.

I actually like the GGG-Lara fight. GGG takes him out but I still like the fight.

Outside of Murray/Geale, who else is ducking him that's not with GBP/Showtime?

Some say Martinez but I don't know if I agree with that

I understand where you're coming from, but you know how it is with this sport. I hope Lara's team does push for it, but lets not hold our breath on Al Haymon picking up the phone, but hey you never know, he got good things going for Trout with the Cotto fight. I don't see why he wouldn't look out for Lara, when there is so much to gain and relatively nothing to lose

The problem is Showtime. Showtime wont deal with any promoter except Golden Boy! So why should I take a fighter and give them to Showtime when they wont deal with Top Rank or any other promoter other than Golden Boy, said an animated Bob Arum.

Showtime is the one that's at fault and CBS has allowed them to get away with this kind of thing. It's never happened before in the sport of boxing where one entity only deals with one promoter. When is the last time another promoter, forget Top Rank, any other promoter has put a fight on for Showtime?
            - Bob Arum

2013 proved to be a great year for boxing as it provided fans with terrific fights and moments and it was all done despite the two biggest promoters in the spor

I wasn't talking about the past you quoted me so that should be obvious. Nobody else is dying to get in the ring with GGG, as his fans are so eager to point out all the damn time. It's easy to talk **** when you don't have to follow through Lara is actually doing more than just say it on twitter, and he is an actual credible opponent who can be taken serious, and this fight could happen Schaefer has no love for Lara, and that's what makes it ballsy. I can call out GGG all day doesn't make me anymore ballsier than Mora we have about the same chance of being taken serious and getting the **** kicked out of us...well unless GGG keeps stepping down in competition then I guess you would be right.

After the Stevens fight I have seen nobody who is a real contender really say ****, and GGG fans get to say "oh they scurred that's why he has to fight bums", and they can be justified for saying so....Now Lara calls GGG out and they pull out another excuse and more b/s out of their butts. I like that fight more.... obviously and I think GGG wins it, but why the fk would anyone say anything else other than "Fck yeah make the fight happen!" is beyond me.

Well Martinez might not be, but his promoter sure sounds like it. Then you got repeat duckers like Sturm, NJikam, Barker's promoter who said Darren is his friend and he wouldn't do that to a friend, Quillin who passed on a world title shot and kept giving the money excuse, before and after the network split. Rubio passed 2x at least.

Well, Rubio, Njikam are in the same boat as Mora, Rosado and Stevens; same class of fighter. Barker might be slightly better, but not by much at all.

I still fail to see how Mora, Stevens and Rosado calling him out is such a problem as compared to these supposed duckers with "everything" to lose

What does Rubio and Njikam have to lose that Mora doesn't?
