Erislandy Lara and his team are CLOWNS. They know the Golovkin fight can't be made because of the Showtime and HBO situation. Why don't we see Lara calling out Peter Quillin? That's a fight that can be made easily.

Very smart move by Lara and his team to call out Golovkin though. They're getting his name in the headlines and tricking these naive fans into thinking that if Golovkin doesn't fight Lara that he's "ducking" him.

If Golovkin vs. Lara did happen, I think Lara would get some rounds in the bank early on, but Golovkin would eventually knock him out.

But when a fighter they don't like does it he is ducking.
I've already said here that GGG is like ducking Lara and Ward...
By stubbornly wanting Martinez or whoever is champ at 160...

Lara took a **** ton of body shots from Angulo and never folded. Not to say you're wrong but I dunno what leads you to this notion. Matter of fact, body shots drain you plus he took two to the chin afterwards and still came back to dominate the rest of those rounds.

Also he said that Oscar De La Hoya is going to push Showtime to make a fight between him and Peter Quillin.
About Andre Ward's situation... he said he's ready and willing to fight him but HBO blocks it at this point.
About Lara's situation... he said that he's surprised Lara calling him out but if he's ready to move up and HBO approves that bout he will contact him to discuss the details and terms of the fight for sure.
And finally... he will move up straight to the north at 168 in 2015 if all goes well.
can we get the transcript of your convo, even though what he said sounds realistic.

Then you speak in general, or you really think Lara will take this fight?

lara should just stay at 154 and challenge the winner of canelo vs angulo...

i just don't see the point of this fight right now...lara has unfinished business at 154...plus ppl will just criticize ggg for fighting a jr middleweight.

i have a feeling something else is going on where gbp are pushing this fight ..so that lara can stay away from canelo a little longer...and if lara loses badly then canelo will jump at the opportunity to fight lara knowing he might be damaged goods or use lara's loss as an excuse to not fight him. this just seems all too convenient for team canelo and even mayweather.

a good way to end all of the why doesn't lara fight canelo or floyd talk by having lara lose to GGG...

I'm gonna further add to this, Lara has gained experience to deal with GGG's style by fighting Hernandez and Angulo (and no Im not saying they fight the exact same) while GGG has fought who? And leave the amateurs bs to the side.

Not saying I'd pick Lara to win but I'll back my countryman up.
