    Golovkin is a bum.

I've seen him fighting another bum Curtis Stevens and Golovkin looked like a **** in this bout. His defence is terrible so is his footwork. Also he starts gassing in the second half of bout.

What does amateur career have to do with prof?

am not a critic of him, am just stating the fact that he's a lowskilled can crusher and ducking a legit opposition like Dirrell Ward and Lara.

I rather him call out Floyd, a smaller 154 guy instead of Lara. What's Lara done anyway? He aint fighting the best. He hasn't fought Canelo or Floyd or Quillin.. This dude's desperate for that GGG payday. That tool
Nah, Golovkin is a star composed of ducks.
Only reason it got that many was because they gave ducks a t.v set and they watched it. more than 4/5 of the viewing numbers were comprised of actual ducks watching the big duck on T.V

You quoted me because you know I made a good point and described GGG to a T. He's a powerful guy with a good chin, otherwise he's slow, moves slow, gets hit by ****** shots, and he doesn't have good ring IQ. He gets pissed off and frustrated and turns in to the hulk, then blasts his weaker opposition out of there. When his Hulk transformation does not work because he's facing a mover, counterpuncher, and spoiler who can clinch, watch him look lost.

You just aint sold on the legend that is GGG. A god amongst men. You know you're in the godly talk when Lampley has you in his top 5 p4p. His word > yours. Lara is a tool for calling out the God that is GGG over twitter.

Perfect fight for Golden Boy to get back into the good graces of HBO. If Lara loses they probably could care less and if he wins it's good for them.

Not to mention it's a pretty good fight.

Schaefer needs to step up and let Lara cross boundaries, considering he's been outspoken about Lara's drawing issues, and can't offer Canelo.

Every body loved the Martinez-Pavlik matchup despite Martinez being champion in a different division.

Stop being whiny *****es about GGG not receiving credit for fighting a 154 pounder. It's all whine white whine with some of you. Instead of put pressure on HBO to make it happen.
Martinez already fought (and lost to) Williams at the middleweights before fighting Pavlik... Belt or no belt, Martinez was definitely going north after the Citron fight...

                    • HBO has the Theatre at Madison Square Garden booked for April 26th. And they want GGG. So Lara would have to fight on HBO along with GBP. The article mentions Showtime, but that isn't going to be possible. If this happens it will have to be for GGG's third fight. And GGG's third fight should be the winner of Martinez/Cotto in a title unification bout. As exciting as the idea of Lara is, I see a fighter wanting to make huge leaps in ranks with only 19 wins.
The benefit of this fight for GGG is giving fans a crowd pleasing show. But it will do nothing for his career. It wouldn't be considered progress in his career. The only progress it will bring is another W. If Lara can make 160lbs and fight on HBO, then it would be a better fight than an Andy Lee, who is the current front runner for April 26th. But after April 26th, there really is no reason to take on Lara in 2014, unless he happens to obtain a major title. WBO is temporarily with Bradley, Floyd owns WBC and WBA. Not sure who is the current IBF.
