I honestly love Floyd. But Floyd has to remember that respect is what you get when you do respectful things. Fighting skinny boy no chin Amir Khan is a very disrespectful thing to do for the sport of boxing. Fighting and beating either Marcos Maidana or Manny Pacquiao or James Kirkland to me puts you in the Muhammad Ali level or far beyond.

I've always believe in you Floyd. You have a gift. Show the world that you are The Best Ever. Fight the fights that will cement your legacy as the greatest fighter that ever live. Put a boxing clinic on Sergio Martinez. End the GGG hype. Put the Pacquiao debate to an end. I know you can do it Floyd. Don't doubt yourself.

      He's alright... (just trolling)

Sure Floyd is a great boxer. Nobody is questioning his skills

BUT he has constantly avoided the best opposition or has fought the fights that would've cemented his legacy further BUT once again he has fought those fights after they truly meant anything.

        Cotto and Mosley for example.

He brings the criticism upon himself with claims of being the best ever while refusing to fight the best possible opposition.
I've been watching the sport since the 70s, not that it matters but I worked in the sport for 30 years. I've seen first hand how fearful Bowe was of Lewis, the biggest fight of the 90s outside of Tyson/Holyfield never got made. I saw Leonard not fight Pryor and Hagler sitting comfortably in the middleweight division when there were plenty of calls for him to move up to light heavy. He flat out refused to do so.

None of this is being said to dispute the legacy of other fighters or to put them on the same level as Mayweather. What Mayweather has done is repeatedly miss out on some of the best fights out there, I recognise that but to hate him the way many do here is not to fully recognise just what he HAS done. He gave Mosley an absolute hiding in their fight, a Mosley fresh off beating Margarito. Yes it wasn't a prime Mosley but was anyone expecting such a one sided contest? He has beaten tough men such as Castillo, Hernandez and Corrales, physically damaging some of them in the process.

Mayweather isn't the greatest but he doesn't always deserved to be ridiculed as he so often is.

He fights for the "0". We know this because he's avoided bigger pay days before.

I truly hope Floyd fights everyone deemed a risk. Because he has to make up ground for taking years and years off, and going AWOL and when fighting only fighting once every 18months if his fans were lucky.

Floyd has fooled the world. When he was a no name he was happy to fight bums regularly. But when he became a somebody in boxing, someone important he went AWOL.
When you become a name you have to fight better fighters you see, its expected and Floyd cant handle that as he isn't as good as believed. He can only fight once in a while with superb preparation.

Floyd's reluctant to fight live opponents I think will unfortunately make us miss his greatness.
                    Here we go again.

How soon you guys forget, huh?

You suddenly forget that before Floyd fights whomever, the comments are he's: "gonna knock him out!"... "Gonna take his "O"... Gonna retire him for good... " Yada, yada, blah, blah, smirk, smirk.

AFTER Floyd comes back from almost 2 years of inactivity, beats them, and snatches their title belts easily, everyone who lost the bet be like:

So and so "...was a cherry pick... cheated ... weight drained ... bleh, bleh... boo hoo..."

That's why Floyd calls his own shots and kills it at the box office and remains the highest paid boxer on the planet.

Time to get with the program.

                    .
