What makes Erislandy Lara so great?

lara called out GGG? well..... if angulo dropped lara it would be hard for me to gauge how well lara takes a ggg punch. thing is, angulo is a pressure fighter thats hyper aggresive and throws heavy combos and never steps back. GGG is a lot more methodical, likes to cut off the ring, set up his punches etc. lara could possibly take the punch a lil better, maybe he would see the punches better compared to angulo who bumrushed him. then again, angulo is slow, and GGG is definitely faster. if lara had an iron chin however, i would for sure take lara over ggg. my bad fellas, its just what i think!!

I watched Lara-Vanes and even commented on the Round by Round scoring thread here on boxingscene, how about you?

Lara came on late and was taking over the fight, but he lost many early rounds. This is truth.

Lara barely escaped Angulo, had a draw with Vanes and Molina. Sure he has an awkward style, but he isn't what you guys make him out to be

possible since Lara is a tricky guy, but they won't fight. I think Quillin beats GGG and is the next MW king

That would be a hell of a match up. Here's to hoping they make it. I wouldn't be disappointed to see either guy win, not a huge fan of either but I have a pretty high opinion of both.

While I agree with this point, I don't think Floyd should be expected to fighte 154 fighters "just because." Floyd isn't even a big welter, why should he have to move up in weight to fight a southpaw? That's just nonsensical, IMO.

I'm not asking him to move up in weight just because. He's a 2x champ at that weight. I'm not trying to be unfair and Lara is a better challenger than Khan who is the front runner to fight Floyd.
